Plenteth lies in an idyllic rural valley location perfect for quiet country relaxation and walks. Plenteth is an evolving Permaculture inspired project including a 16th Century thatched cob farmhouse now fully refurbished as family holiday accommodation.

Our families 30 years here, discovering the history, restoring original features and adding renewable energy technology makes it a stay of both heritage and 21st Century Eco comfort. A Wind Turbine runs an Air Source Heat Pump and, excitingly, now catches and stores the energy in Sodium Ion batteries - yes you read that correctly, Sodium Ions like those which make the sea salty!

We are a family of educators and health care professionals who tirelessly learn and push the boundaries to make life as exciting as possible whilst meeting needs in ways that maximise benefits and minimise harm. The story of how we came to live here began in the 1970s in a city, with a dream of finding a place to raise a family and have room to collaborate with nature and live in comfort whatever the economy or geopolitics may throw up.

 The surrounding 7 acres, once a bare field, now boasts many habitats:

a woodland, forest garden, perennials, annual veg, ponds and polytunnels.
